Read, draft, send, label, and triage email from any channel. The Gmailintegration runs in your assistant's permission sandbox; you control what it can read, write, and act on.
Setup
Say “Set up Gmail.” Your assistant walks you through the authentication flow and confirms what it can access before any action runs.
Common prompts
- “What's new in Gmail?”
- “Summarize my recent activity in Gmail.”
- “Show me what needs my attention today.”
Tips & gotchas
- Scoped permissions.Your assistant only requests the scopes it needs for the actions you've approved.
- Per-channel control. If you use multiple channels, you can restrict Gmail access on a per-channel basis.
- Revoke anytime. Disconnect from your assistant settings or from Gmail directly; tokens are cleared on both sides.
