# Vellum: Your Personal Intelligence

Vellum is a personal AI assistant that remembers how you work, learns your preferences, and takes action across the tools you already use.

## What Vellum does

- **Persistent memory:** Your assistant carries context across conversations, days, and months.
- **Real actions:** It browses the web, works with files, runs code, manages calendars, sends messages, and uses connected apps.
- **Self-improving skills:** It learns repeatable workflows and gets better at carrying them out over time.
- **Always available:** Scheduled and background work can continue while you are away.
- **Its own identity:** Your assistant can have its own email address, GitHub account, and Slack handle.

## Where it runs

Use Vellum on the web, macOS, iOS, the command line, email, Telegram, and Slack. Run the MIT-licensed runtime in encrypted Vellum Cloud or on your own computer.

## Privacy and ownership

Your assistant and its workspace belong to you. Data stays exportable and deletable, and Vellum does not train models on your conversations.
